========

Where Shadows Slumber is a brooding puzzle game that takes place in a shadowy, abandoned world. You will aid the main character in his search for redemption - a search that spans numerous worlds and introduces you to a cast of mysterious figures. Who rules this forgotten land? And who will be left once the adventure draws to its inevitable conclusion?

The only tool at your disposal - besides your intellect - is the chaotic nature of the universe. Anything that is not touched by light has the freedom to change. This governing principle will be your guide in the darkness, but also your undoing. After all, if you are not touched by the light, you have the freedom to change as well. What will you become?

This app is a short demonstration of the full game's stunning worlds, mind-bending mechanics, and haunting story. The full game will be released at a later date, to be determined.

Where Shadows Slumber was designed for both phones and tablets.

Conflicted.. Levels were great--interesting and unique. But the cut scene was so violent and unnecessary, it REALLY turned me off, regardless of whether you can skip them. Skilled suspense and horror doesn't NEED in your face violence, and it takes this marvelous creepy atmosphere and...ruins it. I don't want to watch someone's head being bashed in, in a blow by blow fight. That's just so unnecessary, esp with the great game I see in the demo. .I just don't know.

This game is INCREDIBLE. Better than Monument Valley in some key ways (especially story) but similar in gameplay. The full game is out but this shows where it all comes from. Fantastic story and not for the feint of heart. Just finished it and finished the demo. PLAY BOTH! Treat the demo like a prelude. It's excellent and doesn't ruin any of the puzzles in the main game. Also, technical glitches may occur, levels not loading etc, just quit the game and open it up. It'll resume just fine.

Billy, thank you so much for your support! We're glad that you played both games. I like to think of the demo as a prelude, too. Thanks for giving us such a nice review [^_^ ] -Frank

Might not be true to the artistic vision, but this would have reached a much bigger audience and alienated fewer people if it had a gentler "magical" narrative rather than the ott violence. Edit: I don't have a problem with a "horror" narrative, but there is a disconnect between the graphics and said narrative. Something like Pavilion looks like a horror themed game, even though it.... isn't really.

That's a fair point, Simon. The violence certainly can put people off and there's even more in the full game, so I should warn you about that just in case you're considering purchasing it. Thanks for playing our game! -Frank
